Connecting using geteduroam #

These instructions apply for users in institutions that are eduroam IdPs and use eduroam CAT

1. Download the geteduroam app for your platform
   • Android
   • iOS/iPadOS
   • Windows
     • AMD/Intel (amd64)
     • ARM (arm64)
   • Linux
     • Flathub
     • GitHub
2. Start the app and select your institution
3. Depending on whether your institution has enrolled in geteduroam, you will either
   • Be sent to a website where you log in with your institution credentials (eduGAIN)
   • Be asked for your eduroam username/password, as provided to you by your institution
4. There is no step four, keep the app installed to stay connected to eduroam

You won’t have to run the app again after you’ve run it once and connected to eduroam. Your device should connect to eduroam automatically when it’s in range, however on some platforms the OS may prefer other networks that you configured manually. If you uninstall the app, all eduroam configuration is removed with it, so do keep the app installed while you are enrolled.
